This series is hard to number as The Shaughnessey Accord [#2 in the original releases] has been combined with The Samms Agenda [#3 in the original releases] to make In Danger.
Tripp Shaughnessey is on a stakeout watching a diamond merchant's illicit dealings with Spectra IT through a pirated feed from the security camera in the corner sandwich shop run by Glory Brighton. A visit to pick up lunch and flirt with Glory goes haywire when a different gang of criminals take over the shop and customers. Tripp manages to save the day by contacting his buddies but now things are more complicated than ever. The original stakeout is blown, the leader of the gang got away and is looking for revenge, and then there's Glory...
Julian Samms is sent to remove Katrina Flurry to a safe house since her relationship with Peter Deacon, deposed Spectra front man, has marked her for death. [Both Deacon and Julian are introduced in Book 1 of the series, called either The Bane Affair or At Risk.] A nice, simple plan confounded by the fact that the hitman is already shooting at her when he arrives. He grabs her and they're on the run pursued by the bad guy. Katrina isn't too sure the guy who grabbed her IS the good guy but at least he isn't shooting at her. And he is delicious looking...
I love Julian. He swears in Mandarin [no reason why, it doesn't seen to have any relationship to his past] and figures Katrina is a frivolous, high maintenance woman. She isn't, exactly, but the cost of keeping her will be very high...

If you have been following Kent's books, this anthology features my favorite two men, Julian and Tripp. Their stories finally show them at odds with women and it takes you on a suspenseful sexy ride. If you liked her other book, "The Bane Affair", then you'll love these two. They're sweet, short, and steamy. Perfect for a lazy days read! I loved them!
good book fast read like it that there 2 stories for 1! this is books 2 and 3 combined.
