To be honest, i really did not like this trilogy. i admire the fact that it took a lot of imagination and work to create these characters and this plot, however, i still found all 3 books to be dull and lacking. Definitely not one of her best trilogies.

On the flip side, if you are into fantasy/romance, this might be the book for you.

another fantastically written book from Nora Roberts. She takes the story of the circle of 6 and their battle against the vampires to the land of Geall. Alot of fantasy and magic in this one. And of characters you'll love.

Another enticing paranormal trilogy from the ever-versatile, prolific, and much-loved queen of romance. Irish sorcerer Hoyt Mac Cionaoith tried but failed to destroy Demon Queen Lilith after she ruthlessly turned his twin brother, Cian, into a vampire. Lilith gradually recovered and immediately set about amassing an army of vampires with the intention of destroying all humans so that she could rule the world. The goddess Morrigan chooses Hoyt and five others to stop Lilith, sending Hoyt 1,000 years into the future. In twenty-first-century New York, he starts to build his team, enlisting Glenna Ward; his brother, Cian; and Cian's employee, King. Traveling back to Ireland, the three pick up new recruits Moira and her cousin Larkin, both of whom have traveled through space and time from the Kingdom of Geall. Demon-hunter Blair Murphy is the last to sign on to the circle of six. Now a sorcerer, a witch, a warrior, a scholar, a shape-shifter, and a lost soul must find some way of working together as a team if they are to have any hope of stopping darkness from overcoming all that is good and light in the world. Best-seller Roberts' Celtic-flavored Circle trilogy features superbly crafted characters, three passionate romances, and a bewitching blend of magic and myth. John Charles

Book two of the circle trilogy and just as good as the first one. Worth the read.

Book 2 in the Circle trilogy. A satisfying 3 part read.

...In which our 6 adventurers, who have been training diligently and who formed a more cohesive unit in book one, go through the stone circle called the Dance, to the land where one of them is destined to rule, and where they will at last fight the great Battle foretold by the Goddess Morrigan, with only a short time to raise an army with which to defeat the Queen of the dark vampire forces.

This installment, of the 3, has the heaviest focus on romance, as one couple was drawn together in book 1, now 2 couples kindle a bit of passion before armageddon...

Nora Roberts outdid herself with this book. She let my imagination fly and make a wonderful story unfold before your eyes. The way she plays the charaters and their ablities made it more interesting and wanting more. She mixed the modern world with the magical world with great care to make you believe that this could really happen. Please enjoy this book after you have read the first of the series

I have read so many of Nora Robert's books and this series is by far my top choice. The very first book I read of hers happens to be my favorite, Midnight Bayou, but I can say that this series is now right up there. My husband had purchased a cd at the time I was reading this series and every single one of their songs matched a scene in the books. It was creepy and all the more memorable for me. The band was Spartan and it is there second cd. I think it's called Three. Check it out!!

I am not a die-hard Nora Roberts fan. I don't read everything she writes (or ghostwrites). I have read TWO of her "magically inclined" trilogies, this was the second (I read Three Sisters Island trilogy first). I loved all the books from both trilogies and could not reccomend them more.

The Circle trilogy was fun and romantic and exciting. I have always loved and hated that you can tell who everyone is going to end up with as the trilogy goes on, but the pace and the excitement of these books were fantastic, and such a change of gears from Three Sisters, but still in a good way.

Loved every bit of all three books. A great read. Grab the whole series if you can. :-)

Continuation from Morrigan's Cross. As I'm not usually a Nora Roberts fan, I was extremely impressed with this trilogy. I'm very interested in vampires, history, and Celtic/Gaelic history especially. Nora Roberts drew me in with a wonderful combination of my interests and the story line kept me reading until my eyes were crossing. I just HAD to finish the books before sleeping, I couldn't put them down.

I truly do enjoy Nora Roberts books, however I'm not the biggest fan of this series. It has nothing to do with the writing and more to do with the plot. This is more of a f antsy story wrapped up in a romance. While I enjoy the inventiveness, I'm just not a huge fan.

Tesstarosa avatar reviewed Dance of the Gods (Circle, Bk 2) on + 151 more book reviews
The second book in the trilogy finds our six circle members continuing their training to battle Lilith, Queen of the Vampires. It is also the love story for Blair and Larkin.

The circle continues to train to defeat the vampires and has some run-ins with them in modern day Ireland. They also prepare for the trip through the Dance to Gaell and the battle with the vampires.

About half-way through the book, they travel through the Dance to Gaell. Here they continue their training and start to train the people of Gaell who will join them in their battle.

I did not enjoy this book as much as the first book. Its really the stepping stone book and while there are a few sporadic battles and we learn more about the evil that is Lilith, theres not much else to expect to happen. Being a traditional Nora Roberts trilogy, we know that somehow Blair and Larkin will marry and because there is a third book, we know the final battle isnt in this story.

Book two of her Circle Trilogy finds the members of the Circle of Six dealing with the vampire hoards as they train for the upcoming war to take place in Geall in three months. Hoyt and Glenna have wed, and their combined magic is strong, as will be tested against the evil forces of Lilith. Larkin, Blair, Moira and even Cian train daily for battles to come. Preparing to go through the Dance of the Gods (the standing stones) back to Geall from modern day Ireland brings up a major problem: the gods do not allow demons within the Dance. So how will they get Cian, a vampire himself, back to Geall? Woven throughout the story is the burgeoning lovestory between Larkin and Blair. She who's never been truly loved, needs to accept she can have love and still remain who and what she is, but Larkin must face a choice between his world and hers. And the war looms just weeks away....

Book 2 of the Circle Trilogy

Preparing for the showdown in modern-day Ireland, the group split their time among training, defending against Lilith's agents, bickering fitfully among themselves and, for some, doing their best to ignore mounting sexual tension. The relationship between the bigheaded, anachronistic Larkin and the hot-tempered, thoroughly modern lone-wolf Blair gives the proceedings a satisfying emotional core, especially rewarding when their anger turnsfinallyto lust. Fulfilling their destiny, the six warriors enter the stone circle to travel backward in time to Geall for the fateful battle with Lilith.

Great part 2 of Circle Trilogy. It could stand alone, but its a wonderful follow up for Morrigan's Cross, part one.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this series because it is about vampires but since it was by Nora Roberts I gave it a chance and of course I love it. The vampire stuff is more than balanced by the characters you grow to love and the typical fun in one of Roberts books.

As the circle of six prepare for their final clash with the dark army of the vampire Lilith, the battleground shifts. In Ireland, a stone circle serves as the portal to another land and an ancient time. It is in Geall that all will meet their fates - the sorcerer, the witch, the warrior, the scholar, the one of many forms and the one who was lost. And as their courage is tested, hearts will bond as never before.

GREAT series of 3 books; each one written so that it can stand alone. This series (the Circle series) is about six (6) characters, a sorcerer, a witch, a warrier, a vamp, a Geallian, and a shape-shifter who prepare for the big final clash with the dark enemy of the vampire Lillith.

The story continues from Morrigan's Cross in the effort to defeat the vampire Lillith and her loyal followers in their quest to take over the world. Fighting minor skirmishes, and training together to prepare for the battle to come, Blair, Larkin, Cian, Hoyt, Glenna, and Moira become the team they need to be to destroy the enemy.

I bought this book because it was book#2 in the Circle Trilogy. I only got through half of the first in the series, "Morrigan's Cross". I didn't like any of the characters, and the story never captivated me. This is so unusual for a Nora Roberts novel - I think I've read all of her other trilogies as well as stand alones, and have loved them all. This series was a hugh disappointment.
