The book is a very easy read and provides you with legitimate sources that you can easily verify, which is something that is severely lacking in Brown's book. His characters are always referring to "experts" that are unnamed.

This book is interesting to a degree - but fails to truly counter act the Da Vinci Code. It does not cite sources or adequately argue the larger points.
The back cover of this book says, "...DaVinci Code is posioning the faith of millions....b/c of its lurid prose and sensationalistic....claims...". Well that's a lot for one book. One must remember the DVC is a novel written for entertainment purposes to make an author money. It is FICTION.
It is ludicrous that anyone should feel it necessary to change his/her religious beliefs because of it or has to get the real truth from an obscure little book like the Davinvi Deception. This book is not worth the time it took to read.
