The designs, projects and instructions are appropriate for a young, beginning sew-er. As a 46 year old expert sew-er, it didn't fit me at all, but a 20ish person would probably enjoy the skulls, naked-boobed Playboy tribute, and other motifs. BUT... I absolutely loved the casual, arty, freeform nature of it all, and it definitely contributes to the young revival of handcrafts. So, if you're in the target audience, you'll probably love it!
