This is the tenth book in the Charley Davidson series. The eleventh book in this series, Eleventh Grave in Moonlight, released early in 2017. This was an excellent continuation of the Charley Davidson series. So many interesting things happen in this book and all our favorite characters are here.

Charley is still recovering from her memory loss in the last book and is also reeling from the news that Reyes is actually one of the evil Gods she is supposed to destroy. This is causing things between Charley and Reyes to become extremely strained.

I loved that this book really gets into the malevolent gods that Charley is supposed to destroy. We learn a lot more about the history of this evil threesome and the role Charley plays in their past. Additionally there is another contained mystery involving a runaway girl and an innocent man that is being blamed for the murder of his girlfriend.

There is always a lot going on in these books but I am always impressed at how nicely all the storylines come together and are wrapped up. I am continually surprised by how much I enjoy each and every book in this series.

Overall this was an amazing addition to the Charley Davidson series. I have been loving this series and it's quirky characters. I have been enjoying it even more now that the main storyline involving Charley's divinity is really start to make a lot of progress. I would recommend the whole series to those who enjoy light-hearted urban fantasy.

Darynda opened a can of worms with this series, and now she has to expound on it. I wonder if she ever knew how deep she was going to have to get into the whole SON of Satan stuff? So what started out in books 2 and 3 and we readers learning about Charlie and Reyes, has turned into a giant world of WHAT?!?!?! Demons and soul eaters, hell hounds, a baby that will defeat Satan, 3 gods Created by Satan in the fires of hell or what now it is Jehovah who is the brother.... ? And on and one goes the whole drama of this other worldly lives of both of these characters.

I really don't care if Reyes is the evil god brother of Jehovah or if he is the son of Satan. It was all extra stuff that didn't care about. But Hey once you got past the first 100 pages you might as well keep going.

What I did care about was Charlie and Reyes, and their baby, and her BFF and their whole lives. That part was fun. The extra character for this book made it lively too. Darynda is still fun and spunky as a writer.

I also really liked that the number 10 and the curse of the 10th came into the story.

If you have started the series, this book is not even close to a reason to quit. The sex was intense, and I do tend to just skip over it cause their sex life tends to travel to another plane in the universe. And really I cant relate to that cause I am not a god that can move through time and space, and explode stars or whatever. But this time it seemed a little rough and dirty. So maybe it was written better in my opinion. I don't think you would be reading about book 10 if you have not already felt comfortable with the sex in previous books.
