Well written. Provides another side of Cuba. I thought the author should have gone into more detail about the effects of life in Cuba on the dynamics of her family.
This was a interesting book. I enjoyed it.

i am in love with cuba, though i've never been and i read whatever comes my way about it. i came across this book on clearance and got it. it wasn't as good as i expected, but i did really like it. some of the reviews i read talk about how snobby and out of touch the author was, but it says in the title that she is a housewife. i think it's a great insight to what it's like to be a rich foreigner living there, not insight into the average cubans life. i learned a lot from it, and took a lot away from it.
