Wainberg, MD, is Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is Medical Director of the Columbia University HIV Mental Health Training Project. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Committee on AIDS and is Vice-Chair of the Mental Health HIV Clinical Guidelines Committee New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute. Dr. Wainberg has expertise in international research developing HIV prevention interventions for psychiatric patients in South Africa and Brazil, and is Principal Investigator of the NIHM-funded R01: Brazilian HIV Prevention for the Severely Mentally Ill. Andrew Kolodny, MD, is the Medical Director for Special Projects in the Office of the Executive Deputy Commissioner at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He leads the department's Buprenorphine Initiative, as well as other special projects to reduce morbidity and mortality from substance and alcohol use. Dr. Kolodny chairs the Public Psychiatry Committee of the New York County District branch of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and was a Congressional Health Policy Fellow in the United States Senate.
