This is my least favorite of MHC's books. It starts off dark, right off the bat. There is no real happiness in it. Not even in the end. You just want to reach into the book and throttle the heroine for not being smarter. I really didn't care for t.

I would suggest not starting this book unless you have time to completely read it. I read it in one sitting and was upset every time I had to set it down.

Not my favorite Mary Higgins Clark. I wanted to like the villian so badly. Beautiful visuals and characters. Just not up to par with some of her later books.

The best Clark book I've ever read! I couldn't put it down because the psychological suspense kept me glued to the book.

A great book that was made into a tv movie. Really suspenseful book. It is about a woman that meets a man and marries him quickly. She and her 2 young daughters move to his home in the country, where strange things begins to happen.

A great Mary Higgins Clark novel, one of her earlier ones... just as suspenseful!!! Great read

Heavy on the hints about an abusive relationship, but still the outcome wasn't quite what I expected. (And she could have taken more time with the ending / wrapup. It was rather abrupt.) A fast easy read, very descriptive.

I didn't ejoy this book as much as I've enjoyed other Mary Higgins Clark books. I had a very hard time staying interested in the story.
