AWESOME! This is a super quick read. The action starts on page 1 and doesn't stop until page 411. What a spectacular surprise ending! If you enjoyed Mercy Street, you will absolutely love Cry Mercy. I'm off to purchase the next in the series, Acts of Mercy.

I really like this series. I was a little disappointed that so much time passed before the release of the second book and the first book. You forget a lot of what was in the first book. I enjoyed this storyline and was very intrigued by the whole donor sibling topic. I can't wait to read book three. I highly recommend this book and series.

Running from the drug lord father of her adopted daughter, Emme gets a job as an investigator with the newly established Mercy Street Fondation. The foundations goal is to find lost/missing individuals at no cost to those seeking to find their lost loved ones. Their first case involves searching for Belinda, the product of a sperm donor, who has been missing for several months. When more children of donor 1735 start to disapear the search intensifies. This is a great mystery with characters from Mercy Street and great new characters added. Can't wait to read the third story in this series.

California cop Ann Nolan learns that her adopted daughter, Chloe, is being searched for by her biological father. Anthony Navarro is a big time drug lord and has a large reward out for Chloe. Fearing her daughter will be kidnapped, Ann changes her name to Emme Caldwell and flees across the country to begin a new life as an investigator for the Mercy Street Foundation (MSF) in Conroy, Pennsylvania. Emme's first case is to find nineteen-year-old Belinda "Belle" Hudson who disappeared from her sorority house. Debra Newhouse, can only tell Emme that Belle had not taken her computer with her but it vanished shortly afterward.

Nick Perone restores classic automobiles. He is grateful when MSF accepts locating his niece as their first official case. Belle had been communicating on a forum board with her donor-siblings. These are other people born by the same sperm donor from a fertility clinic. Belle had been trying to learn who her biological father is, Donor 1735. Emme and Nick's search for Belle will lead them to a serial killer that may very well be as dangerous as Navarro.

***** The Mercy Street Foundation has officially opened its doors and this new series has officially begun. There is more than one secondary plot running in the background. They will spill over into future novels. The main focus in this installment is Emme and Chloe getting settled with the foundation and solving the first case. It is obvious the author did a lot of research for this story. I am amazed at how much I learned about fertility clinics and donor-siblings. An exciting story that successfully solidifies a strong foundation for the series.*****

The story grips you from page 1 and then you won't be able to put it down until you're finished with it. To get the full effect, read "Mercy Street" first. You won't be sorry!

After Ann Nolan, a California beat cop, adopts the daughter of a notorious drug dealer, the ruthless father vows to take back his only child. In response, Ann flees across the country, changes her name, and starts a new life as an investigator for the Mercy Street Foundation, the billionaire-endowed organization dedicated to finding missing persons. As Emme Caldwell, she takes the lead on the Foundation's first case: Nineteen-year-old Belinda Hudson disappeared from her sorority house leaving behind only one cryptic clue. Retracing the vanished student's steps leads Emme to Heaven's Gate, a fertility clinic, and the mysterious Donor 1735.

Belinda's legal guardian, Nick Perone, is determined to shadow Emme's every move as she searches for his niece. But the closer Emme gets to Donor 1735 and the chilling truth, the more apparent it becomes that she's escaped one dangerous man only to run head-on into another -- one who's far more determined and every bit as deadly.
