I read Runciman's three volume history of the Crusades. This was an intriguing look at the Crusades from the other side, using records and documents written by Arabs while the Crusades were taking place. The time frame includes the invasion of the Middle East by the Mongols, because there were still a few Christian cities that had not been retaken by the Arabs at that time. The Muslim reaction to the Mongol invasion ended Christian control of those cities. The Epilogue was fascinating.
