If you enjoyed the film "Wordplay" then you will love this book. Many people from the movie make appearances in this book.... I guess the crossword world is a small one. The author gives an interesting account of the crossword revolution (which apparently took place without my knowledge). Who knew that crossword editors could be such a bunch of diabolical back stabbers!
Also very helpful to crossword fans is a list of common crossword words and their definitions... you know, the types of words (e.g. epee) that people rarely use in casual conversation but often make appearances in crossword puzzles because they contain large numbers of vowels.
