A man estranged from most of his family and afraid to connect with anyone for fear of the pain of loss, Cal vowed never to love or marry. He was however willing to help his inept uncles with the ranch they won in a poker game. Ellie was set on revenge - out to destroy the man who caused the death of her father.
Fate brought them both to a run down ranch in Texas but each came with something else- the hope of a better future. Prodded on my meddling uncles and aunts, Cal and Ellie are thrown together time after time and soon they each must identify with feelings they either do not want nor least expected.

It was nothing but a dog run cabin and five thousand acres of prime grassland when Eleanor Chase set eyes on it. But someone had killed her father to get the deed to it. But Ellie swore she would not leave Texas until she had her revenge and her ranch. But there was one man standing in her way. A blue eyed devil named Cal Hardin. Was he the scoundral that stole her birthright or the lover whose oh-so-right touch could steal her breath away. I enjoyed this book very much.

GONE TO TEXAS!
The sign sprouted up across the south as adventurers, debtors, and desperadoes left everything behind to start a new life in the republic. Overrun by Comanches, yet rich with the promise of extraordinary wealth, it was a land of contradictions, where dreams could turn to dust...or grow into vast empires founded by men of courage and women of passion.

CROWN OF GLORY...
It was nothing but a dog-run cabin and five thousand acres of prime grassland when Eleanor Chase, Ellie, first set eyes on it. But someone had killed her father to get the deed to the place, and Ellie swore she would not leave Texas until she had her revenge and her ranch. There was just one man standing in her way-- a blue-eyed devil named Cal Hardin. Was he the scoundrel who'd stolen her birthright, or the lover whose oh so right touch could steal her very breath away?
