A great story. Unique, educational and inspirational.
I enjoyed this book so much, I wish I could get more by the same authors.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a historical novel that is set in Scotland and England following the reign of Henry VIII. During this time there is a struggle for who will rule England and Scotland and the Catholic church attempting to retake control of the church. Also the printing presses are at work and Protestants are translating parts of the Bible into common English language and preachers are preaching from the the Bible The Catholic church leaders joined with the Scottish and English rulers begin a persecution of these people. All this sets the backdrop for the life of Ransom Mackenzie, a printer's son who is being educated by the historical character John Knox. The book is well written and moves at a rapid pace following Ransom's life from a young boy to adulthood. This was the first book by Craig and Janet Parshall that I've read but I'll be looking for more.
