4th in the series. A new batch of crazy characters for Meg to interact with and a murder that proves to be filled with likely suspects makes this book the most fun filled one yet. Throw in a one winged buzzard, a pack of dogs, and Spike, the aggressive beastie Michael's mother owns and you've got one heck of a read.

This was a quick and fun read. I saw someone on Amazon refer to the first book in this series as a "cozy mystery" and I think that's an accurate description. There's not a lot of horror, and what horror there is, with regards to the murder that has taken place, is somewhat silly and zany. Meg is a likeable character and based on this book, I've added the others in this series to my wish list now too. :)

I love this series! Everyone is so quirky, you can't help but laugh out loud. Plus the mystery is good. Hope there are lots more coming.

Quite good, not as good as "...Wrought Iron Flamingos" but still good. I never figured out where the "leaping loon" came in, but I like the series -- the main character is very likeable -- all the crazies are, well, crazy, but all in all a good light read (I actually learn some things from reading this series, too!)

As a favor to her brother, Meg agrees to tend the switchboard at his computer game company Mutant Wizards. For companionship, besides a crew of eccentric techies, she has a buzzard withone wing and her boyfriend's mother's nightmare dog. Not to mention the psychotherapists who refuse to give up their lease on half the office space. This is not what Meg had in mind when she agreed to help her brother. The atmosphere is so consistently loony that the office mail car makes several passes through the reception room, with the office practical joker lying on top of it pretending to be dying, before Meg realizes that he's become the victim of someone who wasn't joking at all. He's been murdered.

This is another funny book by Andrews, much enjoyed. Introducing Mutant Wizards, brothers business and all the nonsense that goes with it. Very good mystery.

This series of books with birds in the titles (we've had peacocks, puffins, flamingos, and now buzzards and loons) about Meg Lanslow and her lovable but slightly off-kilter family (loons conjure up about the right image) is wonderful. None will probably ever be quite as funny as Murder with Peacocks (if you haven't read it, order it right now!), but that's OK; they're still funny, lovable, and very pleasant to read. This one is no exception.

An amusing "cozy" from a relatively new author.

Meg Lanslow has been asked by her brother, Rob, to take over as office manager and figure out what's going wrong in the office. After a (annoying) staff member is killed, Meg and her father (with the help of the Caerphilly Police department) go sleuthing. Donna Andrews writes with attention to detail and a great sense of humor.

Love, love, love the Meg Lanslow mystery series. Quirky characters, fun mysteries. I love her eccentric (read crazy) southern family! Laughed out loud while reading this book.
