I've read many wonderful nature writers but NO ONE outdoes Craig Childs. Along with journeys in the world of mountains and deserts in nature, Childs takes the reader into the mountains and deserts of his interior life. This makes for a fascinating combination written with exquisite artistry. You will NEVER make a wrong turn in the company of this guy.
