I really enjoyed this book - it has lots of thrills and a good selection of photos from the expedition. From the back cover: "Windchills reached -150 degrees. Deep, deadly ice crevasses lay hidden behind howling walls of suffocating, wind-driven snow. Forced to push onward or die, the team persevered, crossing the South Pole and a remote ice sheet half the size of the United States. Here is an extraordinary, awe-inspiring story of the International Trans-Anatrctica expedition: six adventurers, each from different nations and different backgrounds, overcoming their differences, their fears and their limitations to achieve what had never been done before - a courageous and astounding 3,7000 mile crossing of Antarctica...on foot."
