I really enjoyed this story of four very different women who become friends at quilting camp. The book intertwines each woman's story from the time they leave camp to the following year. Well written and enjoyable!

This book had almost nothing about the Elm Creek Quilters in it other than that the characters she brings out meet at the quilt camp. The stories of the new characters were somewhat interesting, Julia, Vinnie, Grace, Megan and Donna and by the end of the book I felt more involved in their lives but I would have preferred to have more of the original characters. It was ok

The third in the series of cozy novels takes us again to the Elm Creek Quilt Camp where friends begin work on a challenge quilt, each leaving with a square to complete after meeting a specific personal challenge each shared during the week they were together. The bond of friendship keeps them together even though they live miles apart.
Again Jennifer Chiaverini fills the reader with the warmth of homespun wisdom.

As with the first two books in this series this one did not disappoint me. I am really enjoying this series. To see each of the characters come to life as I read about them and to hear about their trials and problems makes me want to keep on reading and find out how they resolve the problems. These books are very well written. Each time I pick one of them up I find that I have trouble putting it down to do housework or even to go to sleep at night. I am not a quilter although I would some day like to learn how to quilt this series is still a very good set of books to read.

This is a lovely story filled with emotional triumphs for the characters. The first two books focues on Elm Creek Manor and staff. This book is different in that it focused on members from one of the quilt camps throughout the year following their first meeting. It was absolutely wonderful.

Wonderful series -- and the author does such a good job of transitioning to the next book by not "overtelling" what has already happened.

Another delightful weave of stories of women's lives as they meet together at the famous quilter's camp around which Jennifer Chiaverini's novels are cleverly constructed. I just finished this one, and experienced that feeling of sadness that the story is over. But not for long, as Ms. Chiaverini has provided us with many happy tales to make us feel good about ourselves. No violence, no serious conflicts, just life stories that make a good read.

Chiaverini falls back on her basic formula here -- a group of women with various career, family, and romantic problems, brought together by a love of quilting, who help each other get through to happily-ever-after. This group includes an aging film actress and a prominent quilt designer who's lost her mojo.

I absolutely love this series. The historical aspects, the quilting tidbits, the drama of the characters, makes me want to come back for more ! Jennifer makes the stories move..yet doesn't bog down in details, gives just enough.

This is a good book even if you don't quilt.
Wonderful book
Julia, Megan, Donna, Grace, & Vinnie are cross-country friends who are about to begin work on a challenge quilt. A piece of fabric is divided into equal shares, and each woman takes one, with the understanding that they will meet at the Elm Creek Quilt Camp the following year to sew the disparate sections into a quilt. But the friends have set themselves a special challenge: No one can start working on her block until she has taken steps to solve her problems and achieve her personal goals.
