From Publishers Weekly: "The three high-flying Blackbird sisters return in their fourth mystery (after 2004's Some Like It Lethal), a blend of fashion-forward romance and witty suspense. When not assisting Kitty Keough, a Philadelphia society columnist, former debutante Nora Blackbird strives to save the family farm after the sisters' parents "spent our trust funds faster than drunken lottery winners could buy a fleet of Cadillacs." Meanwhile, wild baby sis, Emma, escapes rehab with a media cowboy, and fertile sis, Libby, keeps popping out babies. Assigned to cover the Philly launch for Brinker Holt's revolutionary Brinker Bra ("No need for straps or uncomfortable wires"), Nora recalls Brinker was the creepy preppie who once assaulted Emma and tortured other kids for fun. When Kitty, whom Brinker barred from the show, turns up dead on Nora's doorstep, Nora's lover, Michael Abruzzo, becomes the primary suspect due to his mob connections. Nora, Libby and ace crime reporter Richard D'eath's efforts to investigate more likely suspects lead to a madcap dénouement just in time for Nora's annual New Year's Eve bash and a sparkling but bittersweet surprise. Martin's wicked tongue-in-cheek satire will appeal to fans of Jennifer Crusie, who provides a blurb, and Janet Evanovich." Copyright © Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. One of those books that's perfect to curl up with and read on an 'icky' night. Once again, Nora's found herself caught up in murder. This time her boss, Kitty Keough, is found dead on her porch.
The story follows Nora, Mick, and the rest of the gang around Philadelphia's high and not-so-high society until the killer is found. Plenty of adventure between the covers of this book. I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment.

I love, love, love Nora Blackbird and her sisters!! Characters with some backbone, but belivably (well, except for Libby) written!
The mysteries are well crafted, and the insights into high-society are engaging.
I hope to see many more Blackbird Sisters stories!!

I enjoyed this book! Lots of funny characters and the hilarity of the "Brinker Bra" kept the book moving along. I wish I'd started at the beginning, though, as the main character's relationship seems to be building throughout the series, with a major development at the end of this one. I look forward to reading more of this series in the future.

At the unveiling of the most miraculous bra in fashion history, Nora's boss is found trussed up in pantyhose and shot execution style. To find the killer, Nora must shadow the most glamorous suspects in Philadelphia-including a bad-boy designer and a pair of luscious twin models. Though they're used to "murder with style" (Pittsburgh Magazine), cross your fingers for the Blackbird sisters, because this time, high society has never stooped so low. If you like Janet Evanovich and Jennifer Crusie, you will like this author.

In this fourth book in the Blackbird Sisters series, Nancy Martin keeps the fresh situations coming. The sisters are quirky and funny as ever, and Nora's fledgling career at the newspaper takes a major step forward in this tale of fashion (a new high-tech bra takes the fashion world by storm: Tempest in a C Cup, it says on the back cover), murder, high finance, and other odd bits thrown in. I loved it.

Journalist Nora Blackbird is sent to cover the unveiling of the new Brinker Bra, an undergarment that is sure to change the fashion industry. But the morning after the big party, Nora finds her boss, Kitty Keough, dead on her porch. Nora's boyfriend with mob connections, Michael Abruzzo, is the chief suspect in the murder. Nora knows Mick is innocent and decides to investigate on her own to help clear Michael's name.
This is the fourth book in the Blackbird Sisters Mystery series and the best one yet. Nora, with the help of her little dog, Spike, decides she must trace Kitty's last steps in order to find the murderer. She also receives assistance from her older sister, Libby, who is currently selling adult sex toys to make extra money. Her other sister, Emma, has left rehab to become the current model for the Brinker Bra. I loved the humor in this book and thought the mystery was top-notch. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
