This is an interesting look at life in Appalachia in the early 1970's. Hard to believe conditions were still like this at this time. Hard times, hard life, teen pregnancies, abuse, moonshine.....and Sadie Blue is now married to a man who uses her for a punching bag and pregnant. A new school teacher arrives, old ways linger. Good read!
