From School Library Journal
YA-- An excellent example of the horror genre, although not as extreme as Stephen King. When Craig Tanner is offered a promotion by TarrenTech and the family moves to Silverdale, Colorado, everything seems perfect. It is a company town with quaint houses, little commercialization, and a community that supports its sports teams. Mark Tanner develops dramatically as an athlete after several sessions at the Rocky Mountain High sports center where the football players are given workouts. This is only the beginning of a training program that has some terrifying results. Creature will be widely read by athletes and sports fans.

The won't dare.
a man thinks he's helping his son get bigger and stronger, but is he changing into something else?
I enjoyed reading this book very much.
Good, hard, horror. Loved this book.
Saul once again has written a book that grabbed me from the start. It captivated me with the aspects of philosophical and moral responsibility. This book was highly entertaining and an excellent read.
THIS BOOK HAD ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT FROM COVER TO COVER..
This was the first John Saul book I ever read. It's always been one of my favorites. If you enjoy a little science fiction in your fiction, you will probably enjoy this.
A thriller sort of like the stepford wives but a bit scarier.
It was ok. Typical John Saul older book.

I read this several years ago and don't remember too many details, except that I enjoyed the read.
The cover of the book is intact but worn at the lower right corner edge. If you request this book, you acknowledge that you have read this. Thanks.
