Another great story with Eve and Roarke! This one has a good plot and as always reading the characters is like coming home to old friends. Roberts can't write these books fast enough for me!
J.D. Robb/Nora Roberts...WOW! Another extraordinary tale featuring Lieutenant Eve Dallas(NYPSD), her billionaire husband,Roake, and a cast of wonderfully full bodied charaters. The story evolves around a killer (nicknamed the Groom) who has tortured and killed 25 women; in New York and other parts of the world. He is now back in NY, after a 9 year absence, and has started his killing spree again. Dallas and company need to stop him before he murders again. This is a wonderful story with twists and turns and a great ending.
I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex.
Excellent book by JD Robb as usual.
I don't think I will ever get tired of this series. With each installment, the reader is given a different view into the characters that keeps us coming back for more.
I enjoyed how this case is one from the past that brings back old resentments and frustrations and a side of Captain Feeney is revealed that I haven't seen before.
Eve and her team take on the bad guy with their usual tenacious determination that fans of this series enjoy and expect. I am getting close to the end of the series and am wondering what I am going to do when I am caught up and between books.

Another AWESOME book by JD Robb!!!!!
Good book. Easy and fast reading. Eve and Billion dollar husband work together on this one.
Futuristic thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat.
She's on the hunt for another killer, and as always - Nora Roberts delivers a superbly written and orchestrated female detective mystery!
CREATION IN DEATH is another winner in the Eve Dallas/Roarke series, although it's not one of my personal favorites. This time around, a killer who began his murder spree in New York nine years ago has returned -- same MO, same type of victims, and the same cops, Feeney and Eve, out to catch him.
When the team realizes that the first victim has a connection to Roarke and his buisness dealings, he steps up to help with the investigation. And as more women go missing, it's up to Eve to find the killer, before he grabs his final victim -- Eve herself.
Overall, another good read in the series, but I didn't find it as emotional as some of the past books. There are some really funny parts in the book, though, especially dealing with Mavis and her baby, a scene between Roarke and McNab, and, as always, the somber yet somehow lovable Somerset.

Love this book very interesting and a page turner.
I just love Roarke! He is the ultimate. Fab as Mavis would say. This story was creepy and involved massive torture to female victims. Mindless torture to see how long he could keep them alive and how much pain they could handle. Then he carves their stats into their chests (post-mortem) - 39 hours, 45 minutes, 8 seconds. Ugh totally creepy.
Eve and Roarke (and the entire crew) kick ass on this investigation and nail his ass to the wall. Was there any doubt?

I read every one as soon as I can get it.
It's Nora Roberts In Death series - there isn't much more than can be said about this one. She's keeping up her reputation. Stephen King wrote "Creation in Death is an authentic page-turner, with Eve Dallas, tough as nails and still sexy as hell - pitted agianst one of the year's creepiest villainns."
The J.D. Robb "In Death" series are best when read in order - great series.
Great book as always. I do love this series.
NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas keeps the streets of a near-future New York City safe in this extraordinary series. But even she makes mistakes, and is haunted by those she couldn't save -- and the killers she couldn't capture. When the body of a young brunette is found in East River Park, artfully positioned and marked by signs of prolonged and painful torture, Eve is catapulted back to a case nine years earlier. The city was on edge from a killing spree that took the lives of four women in fifteen days, courtesy of a man the media tagged "The Groom" -- because he put silver rings on the fingers of his victims.
When it turns out that the young brunette was employed by Eve's billionaire husband, Roarke, she brings him in on the case -- a move that proves fitting when it becomes chillingly clear that the killer has made his attack personal. The victim was washed in products from a store Roarke owns, and laid out on a sheet his company manufactures.
With the Groom's monstrous return, Eve is determined to finish him once and for all. Familiar with his methods, Eve knows that he has already grabbed his next victim. Time is running out on another woman's life.
And chances are he's working up to the biggest challenge of his illustrious career -- abducting a woman who will test his skills and who promises to give him days and days of pleasure before she dies: Eve.

Excellent book
Another great Eve Dallas book!
Another excellent "who done it" in the series.
Good book! A thriller where Eve herself becomes the object of the villain's attention.
This book is one of the best in the series. Nora Roberts writes the characters so well that I actually feel like I know them. Please don't let them grow old, keep them at this age. The murders, although awful, seem so real, that I can't wait till Eve solves them and puts the criminals away. Five stars!

Lt. Eve Dallas is called to East River Park where a body has been found. The body has been posed on a sheet, and shows signs of torture. Eve immediately recognizes that it is the work of a serial killer nicknamed "The Groom". He killed four women nine-years-ago and was never caught. Now he is back, but this time there is something different. The victim worked for Eve's husband, Roarke. Her body was washed by products manufactured by Roarke's company. The sheet she was found on was also from Roarke's company. Eve starts to wonder if the killer could have a vendetta against her husband. This might be the lead that they need to capture a killer.
This is another solid mystery in the "In Death" series. Eve and company work to bring down a serial killer. I liked the story, but it really added nothing new to the series or the characters. It almost felt like I had read it before. So, I've subtracted half a star from my rating. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

J.D. ROBB never disappoints! Eve & Roarke rock in this book. The Death series continues and for those of us who love them, she can't write them fast enough.
