In the second installment of Maureen Child's Marconi Sisters Trilogy (after AND THEN CAME YOU), the story focuses on the youngest sister, "Mike" Michaila Marconi. All ready reeling from the fact that her dream property was bought by someone else, Mike has insinuated herself into the owner's life--by changing the way things are constructed in his house, and dropping by constantly to make helpful suggestions.

For Lucas Gallagher, the owner of the property Mike still considers her own, Mike is a thorn in his side. She's bossy, demanding, and somehow gets him to make changes on his own house that he never even considered. Added to that is the mutual sexual attraction that seems to ignite sparks whenever she's around, and the whole situation is a messy one.

I loved this second installment of the series! Mike's wild past comes back to haunt her, Lucas's brother Justin is barging back into his life, and the secondary characters truly make this book enjoyable. As Lucas and Mike fight to discover if they have the kind of sparks that can last a lifetime, lives are changed forever for each and every member of the Marconi family--and their added friends and community members.

I can't wait to get started on the final book in the series, TURN MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN, which centers on oldest sister Jo!!

Smart aleck, local plumbing contractor Mike Marconi has her eyes set on some pristine property~~an old Victorian house that she wants to fix up and eventually live in, as she is tired of living in the family homestead. The only problem is newcomer Lucas Gallagher bought it. Her family's construction firm is hired to make the renovations, and Mike makes constant modifications to the architect's plans...Lucas finds himself fighting with her regarding the changes as well as the attraction they have with one another.
Can love conquer all? How will the Marconi family react to a secret their father has kept over the last decade?

This is Maureen Child's second book in the Marconi trilogy. Mike and Lucas first traded barbs in "And Then Came You," the first book. Child has maintained that frenzied relationship picking up where they left off.

The story is fresh with believable dialogue and the humor is ever-present. The characters are dynamic, and the Marconi sisters while fiercely loyal to one another are distinctive in their own right.

The Marconi sisters is a great series. This one is about Michaela (Mike) the plumber (all the girls are in construction related jobs) She has trouble accepting that Lucas (a brainy scientist) has bought the land she wanted to build a home on and then both of them have family emergencies that bring them together to support each other.

The third in the trilogy of Marconi sisters. The best plumber in California, Michaela (Mike) likes to keep her romances short, sweet, and to the point. Her friends think she's just out for a good time, but she has reasons for carefully avoiding relationships with a future. Then she meets Lucas Gallagher, who buys the land she had planned to build on. She can't help making suggestions about his home and the conversations get heated.

The best plumber in California, Michawla "Mike" Marconi likes to keep her romanaces short, sweet, and to the point. Her friends think she's just out for a good time, but she has reasons for carefully avoiding relationships with a future. Romance, though, is the last thing on Mike;s mind when she meets Lucas Gallagher. Unfortunately, he pushes all of her buttons in a way no man had. But when he learns the truth about her past. Mike is sure he'll be the one moving on. Lucas might know a lot about women, but he left the "relationships" to his twin brother. Michaela aka "Mike" infuriates him as much as she entices him. They quickly go from bickering to bed partners, but neither of them is looking for happily ever after. Until Fate steps in when both of their worlds are turned upside down by disaster, secrets and revelations. Suddenly Lucas and Mike only have each other to lean on- but will either of them take a chance on A Crazy Kind of Love?

Great new series that I am crazy about!! These Marconi sisters can give any man a run for his money. I love the way she thinks Lucas is a nerd, then falls head over heels. This doesn't come easily as they are so funny and fight all the time . This is a must read!!
