This is a quite short but quite entertaining look at some of the world's worst taxidermy. Here you'll find bears with googly eyes, flattened wolves, and as the cover depicts, an interesting fox. The author operates a Tumblr blog called "Crappy Taxidermy" and presents here about 50 or 75 pictures of various animals in unnatural poses. There is even a somewhat graphic lesson on how to preserve your own mouse. Fortunately it's at the end of the book so you can skip that part if you want. This was good for a few laughs; my only complaint was the book was so short! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Blogging for Books.
This book is seriously dangerous. I laughed so hard that my jaw muscles ached. The book also includes instructions for how to stuff a dead mouse, which was both disgusting and fascinating and may give the reader some appreciation of the difficulty involved. (Note: The world does not need any more stuffed mice.)
