This is a beautifully written debut novel. It is two stories that eventually merge into a poignant conclusion. The main character, Matt, has an essence of goodness and a heart that makes the book unforgettable. My only regret was that this book ended. I will remember it for a long time, which is surely the measure of a truly good book. I look forward to reading more by this very talented author.

Their are no words that are more fitting for this book in my mind than Beautiful. The wrting is sweet, insightfull, rich and full of life. You read the 200 pages in less than two days and only a day if you have the time. You can not put this book down one word makes it impossible to resist the next. The story is simple but oh so complex, the word choice could not be more perfect, crafted with the expertice of an master. This is Patrick's first novel but I would challenge anyone who could say this is not written like someone's 10th novel it is just brilliant. Enjoy.

Although the premise sounded intriguing, I abandoned this one about half way through. I couldn't muster up the interest in the outcome to continue.

Good story but a frustrating ending that brings more questions than it answers. Disappointing.
