Having read something by each of these authors before, I knew I would enjoy this book.

A HUSBAND for CHRISTMAS (Carol Finch) This is a clever story about a wealthy young woman getting a demand from her parents that she come home for Christmas -- and be sure to bring her new husband. The only problem is that Victoria Thurston doesn't have one of those.

My only quibble with this story is that Victoria lived like a woman of the 1980's, not the 1880's. At least Logan gave a passing thought to pregnancy, but not Victoria. The dialogue was great; the reality of the situation was missing.

THE HOMECOMING (Elizabeth Lane) This is a sincere story about forgiveness and Christmas. Clay McAllister protected his young brother from a reckless act and spent 3 years in prison. Young Buck did not take the money home to Clay's wife and she has lived in want the whole time he was in jail. This is a rather sad story.

THE CATTLEMAN'S CHRISTMAS BRIDE (Pam Crooks) This story required me to believe that a cowboy would suddenly decide to jump on a train, only to find a former ransom victim again riding on the train (and save her from trouble). This story did not speak to me.
