The sixth book in a well written historical mystery series. It's certainly a stand-alone story but true enjoyment comes from reading from the first book onward.
The author takes the usual 'cozy' mystery and adds romance, good pacing, wonderful character development and plenty of room for more books in the future.
Captain Lacey is a favorite character of mine and I'm looking forward to new releases in this series.

A good historical series with the very likeable Captain Lacey as our hero who is always called upon to solve a crime -- in this latest issue, it's very personal as his long lost daughter comes to London and goes missing.
Another excellent installment in this series. It's quickly becoming a favourite and the main cast of characters feel like old friends. Can stand alone if you've not read the rest of the series, but if you want to follow the relationships as they develop, I recommend starting with the first book - The Hanover Square Affair.
