I laughed out loud so much when I read this one. If I wasn't so determined to clear out my bookshelves, I'd keep this one.

What a fun regency romance. Arabella wants to marry for love even though she has fallen in love with St. Fell she wants him to love her.
The minute St. Fell saw Arabella he wanted her - she has a big dowery what isn't to love about her.

I read my first Nonnie St. George book because it was recommended by Julia Quinn and I have to agree with Quinn. St. George is possibly the funniest, most clever historical romance writer right now. It's a shame she only has 2 books out.

She's original, her dialog is clever, the running jokes will have you laughing out loud and the romantic pairing is amusing.

I loved this book! The Duke of St. Fell is the man you love to hate. He falls in love with Arabella Swann a rich merchants daughter. But with her large fortune and his reputation as a rake, how will he convince her that he loves her for herself and not her money. The secondary characters in the book, especially his mother, and her spinster aunt, who both love cheap romance novels, are a delightful addition to the story line. I hope Nonnie St. George gets back to writing regency romance real soon! This one is a keeper and her first foray into regency romance, The Ideal Bride was also a laugh out loud hit!
