This book made really think about what forgiveness means and how it applies to Chrisitans. I liked it.

Twenty-eight yr old Emma Browning has built a wall around her heart to survive the years of growing up with an alcoholic father,Ezra. As she runs Emma's Boardinghouse, she plays host to an array of unkempt, earthy characters while trying to maiintain a protective emotional distance from them. No one has managed to get to know her until the town minister becomes a boarder and he beginns to dismantle her world..Book 3 of a very good series.

Courting Emma is a book about forgiveness. Emma has carried the pain and shame of her brutal alcoholic father her entire life. Jon, the local preacher, is working hard to help both Emma, and her father, who is now dying. This is the third and final book of
The Little Hickman Creek series by Sharlene McLaren. I highly recommend the series, and look forward to reading more books by this author.
