This was another great read from Diane Chamberlain, but I felt that the book was a little too long. Her writing is pure magic and she has the ability to pull you immediatley into the book. As always, the characters are terrific, the story is compelling and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you reading late into the night. While not my favorite book by this author, I still highly recommend.

I had this book sent to my mother-in-law. I borrowed it back from her because she said it was so good. I am truly glad I did. This is one of the best books I've ever read. It's about a little girl that goes missing. The characters seem so real. I got so caught up in the story that I openly wept at some of the sad parts. I highly recommend this book!

I enjoyed this book but felt that it started out very slow. It took a good 150 pages to really capture my interest. I think the plot was a little over the top, but an entertaining read.

This is a really good book about a little girl, Sophie, who has a rare kidney disease. Sophie is undergoing experimental therapy and doing so much better, that her mother decides to permit her to go on a weekend camping trip with her scout troup. When her mother goes to pick her up at the designated pick up point, it is discovered that the car with Sophie and one of her friends has just disappeared. That is when the race against time to find Sophie before it is too late begins. The characters are well developed and very interesting.

About a little girl who has a renal disfunction disease who disappears on a scouting trip. About her character, he strength and her resilience. Romance, suspense, mystery, pharmaceutical research. A good read which I thought tied up a bit too cozily at the end, but still a good read.

Very suspenseful book. I didn't like the characters so much, but the suspense of the book kept me coming back for more. By the end of the book, I couldn't put it down. There are several secets woven throughout the book that I didn't see coming.

After I read The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes, I had to try another Chamberlain book! This one was just as good. It is about a little girl who has a very serious kidney disease who gets lost in the woods. I don't want to say any more because I don't want to give it away. Experience it for yourself!
