Set in the southern plantations of colonial America
This is my favorite book by Jude Deveraux. A must read!!!
18th-Century Virginia. The master of the plantation marries the wrong woman who is the right woman for him, however he thinks he should marry the wrong woman for the right reason. He is stuck with the right woman and longs for the passionate french beauty.
Excellent- a page turner
A story about love through thick and thin in the 1700s, done as only Jude Deveraux can do it!
From the back cover:
"In 18th century Virginia, lush land embrace the rivers that surround the great plantations. There Clayton Armstrong awaits his English lady...but when he showers his treasured bride with ardent kisses, the woman he finds in his arms is Nicole Courtalain!"

I very much enjoyed this book. It was a quick page turner. I finished it in a weekend. Nicole, a Frech woman, was kinapped by mistake, taken to America to be a bride of a stranger.
