Great book; touching and evocative story of mothers and daughters. You grow up thinking you'll never be like your mother, and you'll never treat your own daughter the way you were treated. But history has a strange and sometimes wonderful way of repeating itself!

Three generations of women, each an navigating her times as best she can, wondering about the decisions that her mother made and why her mother doesn't understand the decisions she makes.

Great example of the relationships between mothers and daughters of different generations in small town Texas. Both endure their own trials into becoming the women they are today.

This book is great. I read it in two days. I think Pamela Morsi is a great author when you want an escape read!

one of the better books I have read in a while - I got so into it, I read it in one night! (4 hours)

This would probably be my favorite book by Morsi. There are more layers to this book, than I expected. It is not only mother/daughter relationships, but a pretty real discussion about women's roles and how they have changed over the past 50 yrs. Decisions that one makes are tied to the options available. Characters had depth, with people not being totally good or bad, such is life.

Easy read about an interesting mother and daughter. Kind of sad. It's set in McKinney, Dallas and Houston so if you're from there, you might be especially interested.

I spent the night with this book before I knew it! I loved it!
A story about mothers and daughters. Overcoming our fears, letting go of the past. And best of all Texas!
This was a quick read, while touching on many of life's trials.
Fast paced and interesting from beginning to end. All characters had great personalities. Really enjoyed this book.
This was a great story, very hard for me to put down!!! A good mother/daughter story that opens your eyes to just how different a mother and daughter perceive each other's lives. Loved it!
nice ready, enjoys the atlernating chapters in the different chartacters voice
Nice story about moms and daughters.....reminded me of m and my mom and the changes from the 50's to the 70's...
Great book about mothers and daughters. The 1950's mother and her 1970's daughter disagree about everything... but everyone says they are so alike.
Very good book!
Great book!!
A very good book!
3 generations of women in a family in a small town in Texas. It was very hard to care about the first protagonist as she was so narrow minded, and controlling. However, it is a good book about mother daughter relationships and worth the read.
