A Classic call to the dedicated Christian life.
Written in 1937 in German, DB died in a concentration camp in 1945, he was anti-Nazi since before Hitler took power. The title would seem to be a foreshadowing of his life, although the German title is Nachfolgen, which I don't think is a direct translation.
First part of book is difficult to get through but then the reading gets much easier and is worth the effort.
