This book is a series of two Medical Examiner's in New York that alway seem to get into some sort of trouble as they solve the most unique crimes while still finding time to sort through their private lives.....Can't say more about Laurie Montgomery and Jack Stapleton. Several books are currently available in this series: Vector, Marker, Chromosone 6 and Crisis which is the latest in the series. You will throughly enjoy them....once you start reading you can't put them down plus you learn so much about the medical field and the scary things that truly go on inside their quiet walls where they don't necessarily want the public to know about.

Dr Robin Cook, master of the medical thriller delivers the story of a deadly epidemic spread by sinister sabotage, a cautionary tale..

Love these medical mysteries by Robin Cook! Not the same as the movie "contagion" if thats what you are looking for. This book nevertheless was about spreading microbes intentionally for the selfishness of a few fortune seekers. Good Read!

From the undisputed master of the medical thriller comes the story of a deadly epidemic spread not merely by microbes but by sinsiter sabotage a terrifying cautionary tale for the millennuim as the health care giants collide.

In Cook's numerous best-selling medical thrillers, the nasty microbes and lethal diseases are never as loathsome as the greedy villains who spread illness for profit. Here, a cynical forensics doctor suspects that a for-profit medical firm is murdering its more costly subscribers.

This was one of my favorite Robin Cook books. The main character, Jack Stapleton, is wonderfully irreverent.

Cook is slow to set up the story, it takes a few chapters for the plot to unfold. Once it's underway - this medical thriller keeps your attention.

A typical Cook page-turner. Much of the story line is fairly predictable but there are a few surprises. A fun read.
