An excellent book, no hidden surprises, but a wonderful plot line. Flynn weaves his tale and draws the reader in. Rapp is as tough as Jack Bauer "24", with a little more humanity thrown in.

From Our Editors
Mitch Rapp's enemies know that this trained assassin and terrorist hunter (Executive Power, Memorial Day) won't go down easily. To prepare for his demise, they must acknowledge the real possibility of failure and thus the necessity for complete deniability. After all, nobody expects that a high-adrenalin warrior like Rapp will just shake off his wounds, count his blessings and move on. One savage Rapp.

Spy vs spy thriller. Couldn't put the book down.

I found the book to be a bit slower to get into than most Vince Flynn books. I love the no-nonsense character, Mitch Rapp, but this book shows a side of him that is somewhat unattractive.

Incredible. I was on the edge of my seat for a long time. I just love the Mitch Rapp serious and I loved seeing him taking no crap from politicians.

Flynn continues to ratchet up the stakes for CIA assassin Mitch Rapp, who battles a Saudi billionaire bent on revenge(who puts out a $20 million contract), an exEast German Stasi spy and a deadly husband-and-wife team of assassins. Besides terrorists and assassins, Mitch has to battle the new national director of intelligence, a craven, hypocritical, inside-the-Beltway operator. When Mitch whacks this twerp on the side of the head with a heavy file during a high-level meeting, readers will stand up and cheer. Great book!

Vince Flynn writes an excellent CIA / spy / assassin story and this one is very similar to his other work with a significant difference right at the end. He hints and leads you from mid-story to that ending. The main character is a very nasty guy named Mitch Rapp who is an over-the-top, butt kicking, one man disaster, assassin. This is one of those stand up and cheer stories that also moves briskly along. In the end, Mitch Rapp is a romantic and I will leave that discovery for you to find.
