Introduces a lot of organizing skills in an up-beat manner. Kolberg is a professional organizer, and she shares some of her clients stories and offers solutions for their problems. I've found many of her ideas useful to combat my own "chronic disorganization." Did this book change my life? NO, but my life is a bit less cluttered now.

Innovative ideas, but I don't know if this will be "the only book that has ever made any real difference for me", like one of the testimonials claims. A few good tips, but nothing earth-shattering as far as my clutter is concerned.

I loved this book, it really took an out of the box approach. It is for people who can not organize the way others organize, because they have chronic disorganization problems, as the title suggests. Not hoarding problems but more a learning style issue. So for instance a person who is an auditory learner might need a different organizational system than a person who is a visual learner. The book gave some good insights into why we struggle with organizing things. It is a short book, but well worth the time to read.

page 120 in reference to Once and for ALL organizing methods. "Conventional organizing methods are not effective for "all" and organizing is never done "once". Unconventional organizing methods, esp those that embrace emotions, respect the influence of learning styles on organizing style, and tend to be wholistic, are your most potent weapons for conquering chronic disorganization"
