If you are overwhelmed with clutter, have no time to do any cleaning and struggle to just stay sane in your life, this might not be the book for you. If you do get it, it may be best to read the last two chapters first before reading about the insane minutea of this woman's organizational systems. Instead, start with flylady's Sink Reflrections.
However, if, like me, you feel like you are *almost* but not quite there in terms of keeping things organized, if you've started a whole bunch of different organizational systems and had them work for you for a time before you let them slide, if you have time for housework, but just don't know when and how often it should be done, then this book might just push you over the edge into being certifiably organized--it did for me.
At least one of her tips with make you say "oh! that's what I've beem missing, that's why my system didn't work" -- her discussion of calendering and the idea of "menu selection sheets" were like lightbulbs for me.
While this work is very out of date in some areas--a section on photos and home office are made without reference to computers--the rest of it has nuggets of genius and good inspiration for those who strive to be organized but just don't know how.

I absolutely loved this book. Not only is it packed with useful, innovative, "why didn't I think of that?" ideas, it's written in a very pleasing way. It reads almost like a novel; with humor, sympathy, and occassional anecdotes. While I admit that as of writing this review, I have yet to start implementing what I've read, I'm confident I now have the tools to bring some order out of chaos in my home and my mind.

This book is great! In fact, I bought two of them! When I placed the new one on my shelf I discovered I already had this one! I am working on the decluttering and hope never to buy two of the same titles again! Unless I intend to!

I found this the most help in getting my act together. With 3 boys I was able to have a clean home and still focus on the most important aspects of my life: my children. Great for new homemakers who need a guide to an organized method of cleaning and keeping their house clean.
