Well-written, fast-paced, terrific book. Tons of great nurse stories, telling what it's really like working in the medical field and in a big hospital. It's a great book for anyone who has loved-ones who are nurses, or are thinking of becoming a nurse themselves. I've always said there are three professions that will never be paid enough even if they received a million a year: teachers, police, and nurses. Read this book and you'll understand why, and agree completely. Read all of Echo's books. They're all just as good!

Excellent read; you definitely feel for Echo and her co-workers. The ending is not what you would have imagined....

Great book, riveting. I became addicted to her books after reading this one.
I fondly look back to the time when I was a fresh, optimistic new-grad RN. I wanted to be consumed with all-things "nurse" or "medical" related. This series by Echo Heron really fed my appetite. In times where shows like "ER" and "House" are particularly popular, this series would be a good non-electronic substitute. (Also fun for those long night-shifts that new grads are often stuck with!)
This book was gave to me and I have not read it, and figured someone else would love to have it.
