If it's anything like its predecessor, Pierced By A Sword, then it's likely an excellent read for a discerning traditional catholic in today's world.

From the publisher...Conceived without sin is the long-awaited second novel from Bud Macfarlane Jr., will take you on a journey ito the hearts and lives of real people who struggle with real problems. This novel establishes Macfarlane as a master Catholic storyteller, a writer who is not afraid to challenge the reader to question our most basic assumptions-while still providing thrills, laughter, and yes, heartache.

This book is about real people, fascinaing gritty characters. Author Michael D. Obrien says about this story that "It explores the hidden battles in the war that is waged over every soul. It's a great read, and I believe it will change the lives of many, many readers."
The plot is full of surprises and suspense. It's got basketball, friendship, marriage, betrayal and forgiveness. Actually, it has "sex, drugs and rock-and-roll", but in a totally wholesome, awesomely Catholic context, if you can believe that.
You'll want to read it more than once.
