The heroine did indeed run off with a man in her younger days without the benefit of marriage,for a traditional regency a more realistic premise.This book deals with the life she had to choose because of her youthful indiscretion.She or the hero are neither young or drop dead gorgeous, what a pleasant change.
Excellent writing and story encased in a not-so-good cover.
