Loved this book. Never dreamed that "Completely Smitten" was a part associated with the Hometown Heartbreakers. Susan Mallery did not disappoint. So glad that she republished this book for her readers.

I liked Tanaya Michaels "Hers for the Weekend". My first read by Ms. Michaels and I enjoyed it.

I only gave this a 2.5 stars because the first story was horrible. I was unable to get past the first chapter. Perhaps it is my personal hang up, however I cannot stand a main female character that is too stupid that if it was real life, she would have ended up dead in the first 24 hours. Seriously, it was that bad.

The second story deserved a full 5 stars. The characters were likable and funny. What they thought and what they said were definitely believable. You rooted for them the entire time.

This is the first book I read in Susan Mallery's Hometown heartbreakers series(it's book 9). I enjoyed the book so much I went back and started with book 1 in the series (The Best Bride). I recently finished the series with book 11 Quinn's woman. This was an enjoyable series, all the books are good although as expected I had a few favorites :)

Two stories are incorporated into the book. Haley Foster has lived her entire life in a box. Guided by her preacher father and the residents of her tiny hometown as to what to do, what to wear and even who to marry, she'd lost herself along the way. Now she was going to live on her own terms and do all the things good preachers' daughters didn't do. Starting with Kevin Harmon.

The injured U.S. Marshall needed a ride from Kansas to his home in Texas. Haley had a car. She figured she owed him a favor. and he knew a lot more about being bad than she did. It would be fun, it would be passionate, it would be and experience.

At least, that was her plan. He just didn't know it yet.

I did enjoy this first story, however I got very frustrated with the actions of the girl. She mostly acted like a 12 year old kid and was very immature. It took me to almost the end of the story to finally like her at all. I felt sorry for Kevin having to deal with this "little" girl/woman.

Book 2 was much better. Piper Jamieson was an architect who is trying to prove to everyone that she can stand on her own two feet, no man is necessary. Josh Weber is her friend and neighbor, and he goes through women on a regular basis. He doesn't want any committments. Piper needs a date to take to her family reunion, no strings. Josh agrees to help her out and go, he was the perfect choice until he kissed her.
I reallly enjoyed this one. I look forward to reading more of Tanya Michaels.
