While this book tries to touch on all aspects of dressage, I think the real value lies in the aids to produce certain movements. The book barely touches on selecting, breeding, and early training...there are better more thorough books ont he market for that. I really enjoyed looking at the different photographic sequences of each movement broken down along with common faults. I thought that this by itself was worth the book in many a person's dressage library.
