Joelene Mathieson is ready for yet another of her many fresh starts on life when she arrives in upstate New York to take care of her grouchy old Uncle Percy...whether he wants to be taken care of or not. She brings along her teenage son George, her orange Mustang, a picture of her pink dream house, and not much else. But as she soon finds out, the problems she left behind are nothing compared to what's waiting for her. Yet, some amazing things start to happen, and Joelene finds that for the first time in a long time, she's not alone in coping with her problems. The color may be wrong, but maybe, just maybe, she really has found the house of her dreams.
