I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of Georgette Heyer's novels. One of the author's earlier works and not as steamy as some of her later books.

I am an avid fan of author. This was really one that I felt I would enjoy. The misunderstandings and sly ways of the TON. I really felt that this was a good read.

Antonia Mannering refused to become an old maid! She was a young woman with plans, and Lord Philip Ruthven played a large part in them. Though the childhood friends had not seen one another in years, she was perfectly aware that Philip had no lack of female companionship. But he had never married, and it was high time he did. If she could prove to him that she was capable of running his home and would not disgrace him in society, Antonia was certain he would propose a comfortable agreement. But never had she expected their hearts would somehow find their way into the bargain!
Great love story. Highly recommend!!

Very nice delightful historical romance. Laurens is a great writer and her love stories are fun and humorous, as well as romantic.

I really liked this book. It is like the classic regency romances. There is not a lot of sex here and I think that it is good to read a story that is innocent and sweet every once in a while.
