I saw David Rakoff on "The Daily Show" awhile ago and liked him, so wanted to pick up his books. "Don't Get..." is pretty good, and a bit better than his earlier book "Fraud," but overall I find his writing just OK, and not really in the league of David Sedaris or Amy Vowell. Especially in "Fraud" he seems unnecessarily hateful towards certain people.

Somewhat funny social commentary, but much of the writing feels forced, like he was trying too hard to catch a laugh.

I'm amazed that Rakoff was able to sell a book idea seemingly based on nothing more than whatever other random magazine articles he was researching at the time. I'm even more amazed that the product was still fairly amusing. :)

a collection of humorous essays written about the "problems" faced by citizens of first world countries, but especially the upper crust. An ok read, but inconsistent in the humor department.

Not quite sure of where this book was going. This was a compiliation of random stories, none of which seemed to have a point.
