Spotted Wolf is scounting the Fort to release his tribe's medicine man when he is bitten by a rattlesnake.

The commander's niece, Jennifer Carlise, is following two soldiers she suspects are selling guns to the Indians when she stumbles upon the wounded warrior.

Having a soft heart, Jennifer offers to help Spotted Wolf-whether he's a savage or not. Surprised that the Comanche speaks English, she promises to return with aid.

However, her good intentions go awry. She returns to find that Spotted Wolf is not alone and she's captured by the Comanches. Thinking quickly, she states her value as a hostage-a possible trade for the medicine man.

Spotted Wolf, feverish and weakened, must be taken to safety. Jennifer offers to nurse him at their village. As Spotted Wolf heals, the conflict begins anew when another warrior, Coyote Man, wants Jennifer killed. Indebted to her for saving his life, Spotted Wolf claims her.
