Charley hates Christmas and she blogs about it, she gets an invitation to St Nicholas, CO. St Nicholas is home to the "Scrooge" legend and it is reported that "Scrooges" are reformed there. She decides to go and investigate. Also going to St Nicholas is Jack. He is the One Who Got Away. Jack's (who also happens to be a detective) Captain's brother came back "changed." He suspects something nefarious is going on and is asked to investigate.
I wasn't crazy about the Lisa storyline. Jack broke up with her right before he left for St Nicholas. She is just a plot point to further Charley's "change." And it doesn't say much about Jack the timing of the breakup. It was a bit cold.
This was another clean Christmas romance. Kissing only. (Hopefully the next one I pick up will be more "fun").
