HUGE (966 pages) collection of Clarke's short stories, arranged chronologically from his first professionally published work in 1937, to a fiction piece published in "Nature" magazine in 1999. Outstanding retrospective of one of science fiction's Big Three, and a fascinating view of how quickly Clarke developed as a writer. My own favorite is the novella-length "A Meeting with Medusa", still breathtaking in its concept and detail, 35 years after its initial publication.
