This was my least favorite of T. Jefferson Parker's novels but this author is so good that even his less stellar efforts still rock! He has a real ability to draw you in emotionally as well as keep you involved in the story. Check out Serpents Kiss, Blue Hour and Silent Joe.
I couldn't stick with this after 100 pages--too much descriptions you don't need and not enough storyline to capture your attention on each page--found the 100 pages I read to be boring and uninteresting to waste anymore time with it.
