The Coffin series is considered "a whodunnit in the classic tradition", and is and outstanding selection in Dell's 'scene of the crime' mystery series. The title alone is enough to make you want to pick it up, and like all good mysteries it has: scandal, depravity, secret emotions, shadowy pasts, seething anger, a brooding grudge, and of course murder! But this is a hundred-year-old murder!
