By occupation, history professor Teodora Morelli dwells on the past, but it's her family's present that always demands her attention. Teddy finds herself at the Seattle coffee roasting factory where brother-in-law botanist Dr. Leo Faber has invited a select group to sample a unique blend derived from a newly nurtured, naturally chocolate flavored coffee plant. Leo has asked for a divorce and then that night is found dead on the lab floor. As suspicion points toward Daisy as Leo's killer, Teddy leaps into the fray to clear her sister.

Well, one of the worst "cozy" mysteries I've read:
- pretentious
- lots of non-sequiturs
- people behaving irrationally
